The blue-and-white InGen helicopter was already on the pad when Hammond drove up, spinning its rotors, ready to take off at any second. Hammond halted the jeep with a screech of bouncing gravel, and everyone gave grimaces of pain as they realized their bodies had seized up with exhaustion to one extent or another. Ellie ushered Lex into the chopper, then practically threw Tim inside in her haste before clambering in herself. A moment later, Alan ushered Ian inside. The chaotician hobbled his way along as best he could, he was drenched in sweat and grimacing with every step. Alan wasn't even sure he hadn't hit the animal; the moment he'd raised the gun, it had vaulted away with incredible speed.
