Description
"November 4, 1925: As we bolted into the trees, I barely caught my first glimpse of the largest predator on the plateau. Rarer than the Allosaurs, but larger and more heavily-built, the Tyrannosaurus here had three-fingered hands and, other than their larger, heavier build and dark-gray skin (as opposed to their dark-red rivals) were virtually identical to the Allosaurus. However, unlike the semi-social Allosaurus, which apparently had no territorial instinct whatsoever, the Tyrannosaurus were heavily territorial, with aggressively-guarded hunting grounds covering several hundred square acres. The plateau probably never held more than fifty of the species at a single time.
I personally only saw the species one other time, during the eruption of the volcano at the plateau’s south rim. The resulting stampede sent a panicked specimen lunging and howling right past our caves."
Reality Check: This is one of the Tyrannosaurs from the 1925 version of "The Lost World".
It’s the Tyrannosaurus Rex that fought & killed the Ceratopsian that fought the Allosaurus earlier.
