Slattern

    "In the summer of 2013, a small, secretive branch of INTERPOL, known as the IFEB brought me to their attention. The IFEB (International Future Events Bureau) are the people entrusted with the secrets of future history retrieved from the files found within the remains of Mecha-King Ghidorah in 1991. Upon contacting me, they immediately permitted me access to some of their most secretive files, specifically, the “pacific. rim” files involving the “Breach Events”, rumored to be the largest series of kaiju attacks in the course of the 21^st Century.

    I was astonished to discover the truth: they wanted me, ancient and wizened though I have become, to act as an advisor to the imminent kaiju threat that will first come a few months from the time of this writing. The threat is remarkable: a series of kaiju attacks from another dimension, originating from a portal beneath the Pacific Ocean     known as “The Breach”. The kaiju, though resistant (but not immune) to conventional weaponry, and capable of being killed by nuclear weapons, will be repulsed by something less drastic than atomic armaments: a series of gigantic, cyberkinetically-controlled mechs known as the “Jaegers”. The Jaegers will almost exclusively be piloted by two emotionally close individuals – generally very close friends or family members – due to the cerebral hemorrhaging caused in a single pilot by the gigantic machine’s “programming feedback”. The war will endure for years, and the Jaeger pilots will enter the realms of legend…       

   Ultimately, the last two commissioned Jaegers, Striker Eureka and Gipsy Danger, will be deployed to head into the breach itself, and blast it apart with a thermonuclear bomb attached to the former’s back. However, two Category 4 kaiju will already be waiting for them just outside the breach.

    This “Double Event” will be revealed as a Triple Event shortly after the two Jaegers arrive at the Breach. The largest and most powerful “Breach Kaiju” to ever appear on Earth, and the only Category 5, the kaiju “Slattern” will attack the Mark 5 Jaeger, Striker Eureka, straightaway. While its cohorts Raiju and Scunner delay Gipsy Danger, Slattern will initially give Striker Eureka a terrific fight, one unlike anything it has ever faced, but will eventually be forced onto the defensive. Responding to the giant’s cries for help, Scunner will leave the crippled Gipsy and prepare to tear Eureka apart with Slattern. In one last, defiant strike, the Australian Jaeger’s pilots will detonate the thermonuclear device to kill both kaiju.

    While Scunner will be slain, Slattern will merely be injured, and will intercept Gipsy Danger as it approaches the Breach with half of Raiju’s body to use as a “key” to the portal (it turns out that the portal will only accept things attached to kaiju DNA, which is why it wasn’t bombed into oblivion by humanity immediately). Discarding the chunk of monster, Gipsy Danger will activate its jets, tackle Slattern, and force the kaiju into the breach with it. After a desperate struggle, which will render Gipsy Danger almost completely inoperable, the American Jaeger will finally fire its nuclear turbine in a final defiant attack, blasting Slattern’s chest apart and killing it.

    Despite its failure, Slattern remains the most powerful and dangerous Breach Kaiju to ever appear on Earth, and the fact that it took the two most powerful and competent Jaegers ever constructed to bring it down says volumes about its power and tenacity…"

Reality check: this is Slattern, a monster from the movie "Pacific Rim". I do not  own the rights, etc etc...
