Millennian and Ship

Description

"In the year 1999, three months before the Kilaak Invasion, the third Godzilla fought his first solo battle against a monstrous foe.

I had been enlisted as a witness to the recently-established Japanese government branch known as the CCI (Crisis Control Intelligence) implementing its newest development in non-nuclear energy research (needed in Japan to avoid constant potential attack by a Gojiran). Amazingly, they had discovered a colossal, sixty-million-year-old meteor resting silently on the ocean floor, one that emitted a constant, miniscule stream of, among other things, nuclear energy. The giant meteor was gently raised to the surface – where the trouble started.

The meteor suddenly began rising to the surface at an uncontrollable rate, even more swiftly than the balloons of hydrogen gas that were being used to lift it. Even more strangely, when it broke the surface – completely under its own power – it began to tilt on its side so that the broadest side of the rock constantly faced the sun’s position in the sky. Shortly afterward, the meteor abruptly shot straight out of the water, and soared into the afternoon sky.

I was not present to witness the meteor’s appearance on the Japanese coast – on a beach not far from Tokyo itself – but the event appeared on the news that night due to what happened next: Godzilla – who was involved in a skirmish with the CCI’s newest weaponry (and actually displaying mild irritation at their newest armor-piercing missiles) – wound up as the target of the meteor’s aggressions when the rock fired a brilliant golden ray from its side. Godzilla fired back with his own atomic ray, and both crashed back into the bay. A large chunk of the meteor was blasted to pieces by Godzilla’s power, and a silvery surface was clearly visible beneath the rock – the “meteor” was, in fact, a spacecraft that had crashed into Earth’s oceans millions of years previously, a solar-powered machine that had been trapped for millions of years in the inky blackness beneath the ocean and allowed sediment to settle atop it. The CCI’s best attempts to restrain the spacecraft were futile – it set a course for Tokyo, settled atop the Tokyo Opera City Tower, and began remotely hacking the city’s computers, swiftly draining them of all data involving Godzilla.

By this time, the pieces had all begun to fall together. The CCI, working with the civilian group known as the Godzilla Prediction Network (GPN), had finally discovered the individual cellular structure responsible for Godzilla’s incredible healing abilities. Codenamed “Reorganizer G-1” (and later renamed “Regenerator G-1”), it was later to prove an incredible boon to medicine – but that was in the future. For now, whatever intelligence controlled the ancient spacecraft was apparently intent on absorbing Godzilla’s genetic code in order to generate a living body for itself that could survive on Earth – and it was not at all hesitant about injuring humans to get it, as it showed when it destroyed a trio of escort helicopters. Worse still, evidence gleaned from the alien programs that were hacking the computers suggested a much larger project that involved terraforming the Earth itself, making it toxic to everything that now lives here.

Godzilla arose from Tokyo Bay late that night, and lumbered towards the spacecraft, obviously intent on a rematch. The craft responded with relish, remotely controlling several underground high-tension wires to ensnare Godzilla – these were swiftly charred, but the craft did manage to use the distraction to blast a nearby skyscraper in two and send it crashing down on the unsuspecting monster. The stunned beast’s DNA coding was swiftly analyzed, interpreted, and duplicated by the alien intelligence within the spacecraft – and to everyone’s astonishment, a bizarre, towering invertebrate creature formed itself from out of a tiny hatch beneath the spacecraft’s undercarriage. It’s been theorized that this was the original form of the extraterrestrial intelligence that created and controlled the spacecraft, but no conclusive proof exists to confirm the theory.

However, the “Millennian” alien’s unstable Gojiran DNA – constantly in a state of mild mutation and radioactive decay – caused it to mutate at an astounding speed. In its agony and exhaustion, the horror collapsed on the streets of Tokyo just as Godzilla recovered. The infuriated monster fired an atomic ray into the unmanned ship, blasting half of it into oblivion and sending the other half crashing into the streets. As the monster approached the ship, prepared to finish it off, something huge rose from the streets where the Millennian had fallen…"

Reality check: this is the alien from "Godzilla 2000". I do not own the rights, Toho does, etc etc...

Are the Kilaaks related to the Xiliens because I could have sworn they both said their homeworld was in the same area?
