Description

"The 2001 Graboid Incursion in Perfection, Nevada (not to be confused with the outbreak in Argentina a couple weeks prior) introduced the third stage of the Graboid life cycle to the modern world. Dubbed “Ass-Blasters” by Jodi Chang, the creatures apparently metamorphosed from Shriekers after the Shriekers remained alive for more than about twelve hours. An Ass-Blaster is physically similar to a Shrieker, but longer, leaner, and equipped with three “sails” on its body. While it lacks the reproductive abilities of a Shrieker, an Ass-Blaster carries a single Graboid egg in its gut, and will hunt for prey until it finds a safe place to lay that egg. It also has a heat-sensing organ similar to a Shrieker’s, but tends to be more of a solitary hunter.

Ass-Blasters get their names for the highly volatile chemicals that they carry in their bodies. Similar to a Bombadier Beetle, an Ass-Blaster is capable of emitting the chemicals into specialized chambers in their hindquarters. The resulting explosion just behind their armored flanks will propel an Ass-Blaster high into the air, allowing it to glide on its specialized sails for an impressive distance. The only known surviving Ass-Blaster belongs to noted Vegas performers Sigmund and Ray. Nicknamed “Messerschmitt”, the creature revealed unnerving intelligence when he was kidnapped by a few would-be poachers, then escaped and killed them before being recovered. Messerschmitt lives with his Sigmund and Ray handlers in Vegas to this day."

Reality Check: These are the Ass-Blasters from "Tremors 3: Back to Perfection". I do not own the rights, etc etc...

Wait, aren't the Ass-blasters "Caederus mexicana combustus"? Even if that's faulty.
